Who we are and what this covers
Spotpanion is the name of an independent app project operated from California, United States. This policy covers this website, spotpanion.com, the interest form on it, correspondence with Spotpanion email addresses, and private pre-release use of the Spotpanion app. For a privacy question or request, email privacy@spotpanion.com.
Information this website handles
- Interest submissions: your email address, your consent selection, submission time, source page, consent-text version, and spam or security information generated by the host.
- Messages you send: your email address, message, attachments, and the correspondence needed to respond.
- Ordinary hosting records: request, device, network, and security log information generated when your browser requests a page or submits the form.
The site does not set cookies, use advertising pixels, run analytics scripts, or write to your browser storage. Browser Do Not Track signals do not change the site because those tracking tools are not present.
Information the private app handles
When a private tester uses Spotpanion with an account, the app handles:
- account identifiers and sign-in identity;
- profile, onboarding, goal, and app-setting information;
- workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weights, routines, and notes;
- history, progress, XP, coins, rewards, and companion customization; and
- diagnostic context when crash reporting is enabled in that build.
Much of the app's information is kept locally so it can work offline. Account-linked information may also be stored in the cloud, but not every product surface has identical local and cloud coverage.
How we use information
- to count and understand genuine interest in Spotpanion;
- to send occasional build updates or possible beta invitations later, based on the permission given with the form;
- to answer support, privacy, and account-deletion requests;
- to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and app; and
- to comply with legal obligations and protect users or the service.
No build-update emails are being sent at this time. Before sending begins or interest records move to a separate email provider, this policy and the email operation will be updated as needed.
Service providers and disclosures
- Netlify hosts this website and processes its form submissions, request logs, and security information. Netlify may process information in the United States and other places where it and its subprocessors operate. See Netlify's Privacy Statement.
- Google Workspace processes messages sent to Spotpanion email addresses.
- Supabase provides account sign-in and cloud storage for account-linked private app data.
- Sentry processes crash and error context when crash reporting is enabled in a private build.
We do not currently sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to operate the services, comply with law, respond to lawful process, or protect rights, safety, and security.
Retention
- Interest submissions are kept for no more than 12 months unless you request deletion sooner or the record is moved to a disclosed email provider under an updated policy.
- Support and privacy correspondence is generally kept for up to 24 months after the request is resolved, unless a longer period is reasonably needed for security, disputes, or law.
- Private app data is generally kept while the account is active and then handled through the account-deletion process. Some local, backup, security, or legally required records may follow different deletion timing.
- Hosting and service-provider logs follow the applicable provider's security and retention practices.
Your choices and requests
You may email privacy@spotpanion.com to:
- ask whether we hold an interest submission associated with you;
- correct or delete that interest submission;
- withdraw permission for future build-update email; or
- ask another privacy question about the website or private app.
Private testers can request account deletion as described on the Delete Account page. We may need to verify that a request concerns your own information before acting on it.
Age
This website's interest form and private pre-release program are intended for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect an interest submission from anyone under 18. If you believe that happened, contact us so the record can be deleted.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to this early-stage project. No method of storage or transmission can be made completely risk-free, so please do not send passwords, sign-in codes, financial information, or medical information by email.
Changes
This policy may change as the product, operator, or service providers change. A material revision will update the effective date and version shown above.
